He is a 27-year Air Force veteran, Former Drill Sergeant, Senior Enlisted advisor, and was the Senior Mission Planner for Joint Task Force Texas during the State’s COVID response. In addition, J Gordon Mitchell is a public health leader and twice-elected school board member. Finally, J Gordon Mitchell is a visible and vocal advocate for those whose voices too often go unheard. Now, he’s stepping up to represent Texas’s 17th Congressional District because the people of Texas deserve more. They deserve a congressperson who shows up, listens, and then acts. That’s what this campaign is about: listening with compassion, leading with integrity, and building a future where every Texan has a seat at the table. Real representation begins now.
