Kelley McDonald

Kelly brings extensive national campaign experience, strategic leadership, and a proven record of community organizing to the Mitchell campaign. She currently serves as a Precinct Chair and activist with the McLennan County Democratic Party, is a member of Texas Democratic Women of Central Texas, and serves as Chief of Staff for the Heart of Texas Network for Immigrant Rights, where she leads advocacy efforts, coalition-building, and grassroots mobilization across the region.
Previously, Kelly served as Executive Director of the McLennan County Democratic Party, as a State Democratic Executive Committee (SDEC) Committeewoman for the Texas Democratic Party, and as a delegate to the 2012 Democratic National Convention. She also spent three years on staff with the Democratic National Committee as a Field Director and worked on battleground-state campaigns for President Barack Obama, as well as on key legislative initiatives.
Her career spans electoral strategy, public policy, and legislative advocacy at both the state and national levels. We are honored to have her leadership and expertise guiding our campaign as we work to earn the trust of voters across TX-17.
