• Protecting and expanding unions and collective bargaining rights, making it easier for workers to join together, negotiate better wages and benefits, and stand up for safe working conditions.
• Closing tax loopholes and ending special breaks for billionaires and big corporations, so the wealthiest pay their fair share and the tax code isn’t written by lobbyists.
• Investing in working families through paid family and medical leave, universal childcare, and expanded access to affordable healthcare—giving every parent peace of mind and every child a brighter future.
• Supporting small businesses and local entrepreneurs with access to affordable credit, grants, and technical assistance, helping the Main Streets of TX-17—not just Wall Street—drive innovation and job growth.
• Rebuilding infrastructure and creating good-paying jobs in renewable energy, public transit, and modern manufacturing, ensuring that communities across our district have the tools to compete and succeed in the 21st century.
• Expanding access to education and job training, so every worker can learn new skills and advance their careers, no matter their age or background.
